      Tsippi Fleischer introduces a renewed performance of her madrigal cycle, focusing on the circumstances of their composition, as part of the Music at Levinsky concert series, Levinsky College of Education auditorium, December 23, 2007.       Collegium Singers conducted by Avner Itai; part of the Music at Levinsky concert series, Levinsky College of Education auditorium, December 23, 2007 (see also file 7 above). This performance is remarkable for its attention to detail. Aver Itai had originally commissioned this madrigal for a sight-reading evening at the Tzavta Auditorium, with the Cameran Singers.

      Moran Singers conducted by Guy Pelc; from a concert of Israeli music, in collaboration with the Israeli Composers’ League, Felicja Blumental Music Centre, 25 May 2015. The conductor’s choice to set a slow tempo initially, and gradually change it as the work progresses, creates a new conceptual experience of the music.

      Rinat National Choir conducted by Stanley Sperber; from the production-recording of the work made at Beit Hatefutsot (Museum of the Jewish People, Tel Aviv University) in 1984-1986, and included in the CD Vocal Music. The Rinat Choir, conducted by Stanley Sperber, gave the cycle’s premiere performance at the Tel Aviv Museum, on November 26, 1986. This canonical performance paved the path for all subsequent performances.

      Collegium Singers conducted by Avner Itai; part of the Music at Levinsky concert series, Levinsky College of Education auditorium, December 23, 2007 (see also file 7 above). The composer has chosen this poem after her meeting with the poet, Yoram Ben Meir; the “spirit of the dead” – the late Uri Mimon – brought about their encounter.

    Note: this song cycle was originally composed for voice and piano (Op. 52; 2001/2). This version appears on the album Tsippi Fleischer: Lieder, disc 2, tracks 6-11. Here we present the later version, for soprano and chamber ensemble, with the soprano Naama Nazrati and Ensemble Kaprizma conducted by Israel Sharon, ecorded at the Jerusalem Music Centre on March 21, 2006.

Ron Zarhi) and the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheba, with Jeffrey Kowalski (percussion), conducted by Karin Ben Yosef. World premiere at an event celebrating the composer’s 70th birthday at ACUM’s Beit Hayotser, July 15, 2016. The recording includes a spoken introduction by the composer (in Hebrew).
